June

Four months on the shot taken from exactly the same position as February. The original running line to the left is being replaced aas the curve progresses from the Robertsbridge Station, from the top of the picture.

The long siding from Robertsbridge Station being manually prepared. Although part of the original site plan the urgency increases as it is required for stock displaced by the realignment of the main running line.

May

Doing our bit for the green drive, a call has goes out for all used Printer Cartridges and old mobile phones. Needless to say these can be effectively recycled and in their part help recycle funds towards our railway effort.

Looking Southwest (towards Robertsbridge). The main running line is in the top right of the picture, showing how the curve is being eased into a smoother curve.

March

Key features of the month were improving weather and an increase in track laying.Other projects of track clearance and engine repairs similarly made headway.

Loading pad area just to the North of the Station site has been relaid including a further extension of the main siding (left) alongside the main running (right) line

February

Mild weather allows more trackside clearance to be performed.

A call has gone out to invite new volunteers to undertake the restoration of a BP oil tank wagon.

The year opens up with yet more wind and rain and most of the activities were in the station site itself. Trackwork continues to stall due to the combined lack of our digger (awaiting repair) and the severe illness of our very capable and inspiring onsite operational engineer. Bad luck indeed! Progress is severely behind schedule. A sense of foreboding is evident amongst members of the Supporters Association as our deadline of 1st July looms without any possibility of achieving the objectives of a covenant. Still in the best spirit against adversity the members of the Supporters Association soldier on.
